What does a newcomer need after a welcome?

A warm greeting is more useful with a next step. Send this blue card alongside “The introduction thread is pinned” or “The session begins at 10:00; the joining link is below.” Keep the actual link and time in ordinary text, where they can be selected and followed.

If you are welcoming someone back, change “Glad you are here” to “Good to see you again.” Avoid announcing why they were away unless they have chosen to share that information. An image cannot explain a group’s accessibility arrangements or replace essential onboarding instructions.

How do you prepare a reusable group greeting?

Load the welcome preset and use a general main line such as “Welcome aboard!” Keep private names out of a file intended for repeated group use. Save the result locally; the maker has no account or draft library.

Compare the compact GIF with the large version if the greeting will appear beside a block of instructions. If the words are too small, choose PNG or send ordinary text instead. For a one-to-one conversation that is already established, A simple hello is a less ceremonial choice.

Separate the greeting from the useful next step

Arrival Main message Subtitle Add as ordinary text
New group member Glad you are here, Jo Introduce yourself when you like. Where to find the group guide
Returning member Welcome back Good to see you again. Any changes they need to know
Workshop participant Welcome to the workshop Let’s make something together. The starting time and joining link

Try a landscape Postcard for the workshop greeting, and keep the joining link outside the image: text drawn into a GIF is not clickable. For repeated use, remove the personal name before exporting. Do not leave a named download in a shared folder as the generic welcome asset. Preview the compact GIF alongside the instructions so the greeting does not dominate the information the newcomer needs.

This collection GIF is 121,642 bytes (118.8 KiB): 480 × 360 pixels, 24 frames and a 2.4-second looping cycle. The PNG and SVG downloads are still first frames. All have an opaque background and no audio. The sharing checklist explains how to check the receiving app.

The geometric artwork was created for this site with AI assistance. Personal greeting reuse is covered by credits and permissions. For a custom version, the maker can compare GIF and PNG sizes using your actual message.
