Is this a breathing timer?

No. The moving waves are decoration, and their 2.4-second loop is not an inhale-and-exhale schedule. The image gives no medical instructions and does not respond to a person’s condition. Do not synchronize breathing to it or present it as treatment.

In an ordinary conversation, “We can come back to this” may express more support than telling someone to calm down. Ask whether a pause would help rather than assuming that you know what they need. For urgent or serious distress, a decorative image is not an appropriate substitute for direct help.

How can you make the pause an invitation?

The pause preset can become “A moment is okay” with “The task can wait.” That wording makes sense only when the task really can wait. Keep deadlines and practical next steps in plain text so the greeting does not accidentally imply an agreement to postpone something.

Midnight mint uses a dark background and a light message. Try the still PNG when the purpose is to reduce visual activity. For a casual start to the day rather than a pause in a difficult conversation, use Good morning.

Offer space without prescribing a routine

For a shared task, try “Shall we pause here?” with “We can agree the next step later.” Only use that subtitle if you can actually postpone the decision. For a casual message with no task attached, “A quiet little note” and “No reply needed.” make fewer assumptions.

Start with Centered line and export a still PNG. That choice removes motion from the delivered file, whereas pausing the website preview does not remove motion from an exported GIF. If you do choose the wave GIF, explain it as a decorative greeting. The timeline is an animation preview, not a timer for a breathing exercise. The motion guide explains the distinction between a still preview and a moving download.
