Editorial policy & methodology

This project combines original geometric GIF artwork, a browser maker and guides that describe those actual files and controls. It does not claim guaranteed performance, universal app compatibility or professional credentials that have not been established.

Artwork and AI assistance

Drawing code, content and implementation were created with AI assistance. The collection contains original text and geometric patterns, not imported film clips or scraped reaction images. We do not attribute the work to invented authors or claim personal experiences that were not recorded.

Measurements you can reproduce

Published file sizes are counted from the generated GIF bytes. Dimensions, frame count and delays are checked on the saved assets. Our browser maker uses the same drawing function, but browser fonts and rasterization can produce a different file size. Measurements are examples from these assets, not a benchmark for every GIF or encoder.

Published experiments

The size experiment supplies three real exports; the layout comparison supplies nine. The timing experiment supplies three files with independently checked frame pixels, timing and exact bytes. Each explains the method and its limits. Download the files and measurement data to check the claims.

External gallery

The GIPHY trends gallery is third-party material, separate from our original collection and experiments. It is not an original editorial selection and carries no advertisements. The live results can change and have not been individually reviewed by us.

Sources and limits

Technical references include the gifenc source and documentation, MDN's image-format guide and W3C's Pause, Stop, Hide explanation, checked on 26 September 2026. Guides distinguish this tool's fixed settings from general format capabilities. They are not comprehensive accessibility certification or legal advice.

Practical checking

We check that generated images decode, have the stated frame count and duration, and match the download metadata. Website checks cover builds, internal links and the browser export flow. These checks do not establish that every device or messaging app behaves identically. Test the actual destination when compatibility matters.

Corrections and updates

Report a page address, the problem and a reproducible example through Contact. For exports, include non-sensitive sample text, dimensions, pattern and browser. Dates change when an article is substantively revised, not automatically on each deployment.

Commercial relationships

This version contains no advertising, paid rankings or affiliate links. If that changes, advertisements must be distinguishable from download and creation controls, and privacy information must reflect the services actually enabled.
